LC’s Cicci Leads Men’s Golf at Rend Lake Invite
Ina, IL – The Lincoln College men’s golf team opened up their Fall Season at the Rend Lake Invitational for a 1-day, 36-hole event at Franklin Country Club on Friday, September 5th. Tanner Cicci (Lincoln, IL) fired back-to-back 74’s in the scorching heat to finish in the top 10 individually. John Luce (Strasburg, IL) shot 77-81 while Reid Cagle (Bartonville, IL) and Cody Helton (Bloomington, IL) each fired 80-83 for the Lynx.
Pekin, IL – This past Sunday and Monday the Lincoln College men’s golf team competed in the Men’s MWAC Conference Golf Tournament, hosted at Lick Creek Golf Course in Pekin, IL. After Sunday’s weather shortened round, the Lynx were in 4th place with a 27-hole total of 485 trailing the leaders Lewis & Clark by 20 shots. The first day rounds for the Lynx were as followed: Reid Cagle (71/43 – 114), Jon Luce (83/40 – 123), Tanner Cicci (77/ 47 – 124), Kyle Przykopanski (88/41 – 129) and Josh Horchem (93/42 – 135). Freshman Reid Cagle was tied for 7th place after the 1st round.
On day two of the Conference Tournament again shorted to only 9-holes due to weather, the Lynx fired a 174 total to finish in 4th place. Once again, the Lynx were led by Cagle who moved up two spots to finish in 5th place and earn 1st team All-Conference honors. Day 2 rounds were as followed: Reid Cagle 40, Tanner Cicci 40, Kyle Przykopanski 45, Josh Horchem 49 and Jon Luce 50.
The Men’s Golf Team will be back in action on April 22nd as the square off in a dual match with Danville CC at Illinois State’s Weibring Golf Club.
Jacksonville, IL – The Lincoln College men’s golf team competed in its first tournament of the spring schedule at The Links Golf Course in Jacksonville, IL on Sunday, March 30. The team competed against six other 4-year universities and finished 3rd with a team total of 322. Freshman Tanner Cicci had a strong individual showing by firing a 74 to claim the overall individual title by three shots. Coach Morris said, “I was proud of how hard our guys worked this winter to prepare themselves for the spring season.”
Next up for the Lynx will be the MWAC Conference tournament hosted at Lick Creek Golf Course in Pekin, IL on April 13th & 14th.

LC Men’s Golf Compete Improve on Day 2 at IVCC Invite
LaSalle-Peru, IL – This past weekend the Men’s Golf team traveled to LaSalle-Peru to participate in the IVCC invitational. Day 1, which was played at Deer Park CC in Oglesby, IL was a struggle for the Lynx. They were led by Sophomore Kyle Pryzokanpanski’s 83 followed by freshman Reid Cagle and Tanner Cicci’s 85’s and rounded out with freshman Austin Hellman’s 90 to shoot a team total 343, which placed them in 20th place. Following a disappointing 1st day, the guys bounced back on day 2 to shoot a team total of 329, which helped them team move up 4 spots to 16th place. Day 2 was played at Seneca’s Oak Ridge GC in LaSalle, IL. The team was led by Cicci and Pryzkopanski’s 79’s, Cagle’s 81 and Hellman’s 90. The Lynx will conclude their fall season on October 5th and 6th at the Danville Invitational in Danville, IL.

LC Men’s Golf Struggle at Charger Invite
Galesburg, IL – After an exciting start to the season, the young Lynx golf team had a disappointing showing at the Carl Sandburg Charger Invite. The Lynx finished with a team total of 343 to finish 10th out of 10 teams. The Lynx were led by Tanner Cicci with an 80. The Lynx will return to action next weekend at the IVCC Invitational in both LaSalle, IL and Oglesby, IL.

LC Men’s Golf Open Season at Region 24 Preview Tournament
Ina, IL – Men’s Golf opened their season at the Region 24 Preview Tournament hosted by Rend Lake College. Lincoln College entered the tournament with 3 freshman playing in their first ever college event. Coach Morris was very pleased with the efforts of the entire team in their first tournament of the season. The Lynx were led by freshman Tanner Cicci, who fired a 75-73 to finish tied for 11th place, and was followed up by another freshman Reid Cagle with a 77-82 to finish tied for 35th. The team finished in 7th place shooting a team total of 318-317. “I am very excited about the upcoming season and the young freshman that we have this year. We have a lot of talent at the top of the roster, and some potential to push each other to get better daily” said Coach Morris. The Lynx return to action on 9/12/13.

LC’s Bravick Finishes 4th at Rend Lake Invite
Ina, IL – This past weekend, the Men’s Golf Team traveled to Ina, IL to compete in the Rend Lake College Invitational. Aaron Bravick led the way for the Lynx with a 4th place finish as an individual firing rounds of 75-74 for a total of 149. Freshman Matt Liddle came in with rounds of 86-88 while freshman Kyle Pryzkopanski shot rounds of 94-91. The Men’s team only traveled with 3 golfers this weekend. They will be back at full strength next weekend as they head into the region tournament, which is being played at The Weibring Golf Club at Illinois State. The Top team and Top 5 individuals for the Region Tournament qualify for the National Tournament. Sophomore Aaron Bravick is looking to repeat as the top golfer in the Region and qualify for the National Tournament.
