Head Coach: Jeff Nelson
Jeff Nelson took over the Men’s Golf program in the Spring of 2014 after several successful seasons under Pat Lepper and Tanner Morris. Nelson has been at Lincoln College since 2003 in various roles at Lincoln College including the Director of Student Activities, Tech Support in I.T., and Director of Residence Life. Nelson currently works as the Sports Information Director in the Office of Athletics along with head men’s golf coach. He looks to build upon the recent successes of the program and continue to develop his student-athletes into becoming better golfers and hopefully continue their playing careers at the next level.
Nelson, an avid golfer himself, has coached at various levels before taking over the Lynx. He coached the boys varsity team at Lincoln High School in Lincoln, IL, conducted a “Hook-a-Kid on Golf” clinic at the local country club for beginners between the ages of 8 and 13, coached the women’s golf team at Lincoln College and now is excited to have a chance to coach the men’s team.
Nelson (LC ’89) lives in Lincoln with his wife, Sheila, and has three kids; Jordan, Abbey (LC ’14), and Camden.
